Obama’s Educational Plan

In Obama’s State of the Union speech he talked about America’s educational plan. Some of things mentioned in the speech was that ¾ of jobs require college and only ½ of Americans have a college education. To make matters worse, ½ of college students eventually dropout. Since becoming president, Obama has already began to expand early childhood educations programs. He is trying to make college more affordable by giving Americans tax credit. Obama is going to prevent teacher layoffs. He has many things planned to help America and to make things easier. He wants to help high school graduates that have financial problems by having them volunteer in their community for one year and get college paid for. Also Obama wants to expand charter schools, he wants to get all Americans to go back to college for one more year and he encourages parents and families to get involved and take responsibility for children’s education.

PUSH

The book i am currently reading this book in class called PUSH. I like the book because it's very interesting although heartbreaking. It has very conterversial subjects and keeps you wanting to read more. I would definetly read other books by the other and recommend to others with problems to show them it could be wrose. I would recommend this book to teens in a struggle. I feel the author did a good job writing the book. The most interesting part of the whole book to me was finding out that she was raped by her dad and that left her to be pregnant TWICE! That subject really disturbed me to know there are people out there really like that and every girl should be able to live the "normal" lifestyle.

Clown Fishes

Identify

Clownfish are overall yellow, orange, reddish or blackish, and many show white bars or patches. Clownfish can grow to be from 2 to 5 inches long. The males tend to be significantly smaller than the females

Location

You have seen an anemone; you will recognize it as a pretty undersea flower with hundreds of tentacles! These tentacles are poisonous. How then does the clown fish live in here without being killed by the poison? The clown fish has a special coating of mucous that makes it immune to the anemone's sting..It inhabits the warm waters of the tropical Pacific Ocean, the Red Sea, the Indian Ocean, and Australia's Great Barrier Reef.

Eating habits

Clownfish eat the leftovers from fish on the anemone and algae. The leftovers include copepods, isopods and zooplankton.

Type of fish

The clownfish is a type of fish that lives in salt water habitats. A clownfish is a bony fish

Reproduction

Clownfish lay eggs on any flat surface close to or under protection of their host anemones. These eggs are cared for by the male and hatched under complete darkness after a period of 7 to 10 days. Hatching occurs in a natural rhythm directly connected to the phases of the moon

How they breathe

A fish breathes by absorbing oxygen from the water it drinks. Water flows into the mouth, through the gills, and out of the body through gill slits. As water flows through the gills, the oxygen it contains passes into blood circulating through gill structures called filaments and lamellae. At the same time, carbon dioxide in the fish’s bloodstream passes into the water and is carried out of the body.
